Sunday Jan 11, 2009

Charger Sunday. Well that is the chargers are playing football today back in the Cold county. Everyone here is San Diego is hoping that they win.
I am on the way over to my house in Mission hills to show the place to a number of people interested in renting.

I have to be home by 1:00 pm because some people are coming by to watch football at my house...oh ya...
The other thing is everyone is asking me about the green parrot quilt. It was made for a neighbor who watches my cats when I go out of town. She just loves it and has it upstairs on her couch where no one can touch it. I guess I'll have to make another one, just to keep all my family happy.

Got to run.

Thursday Jan. 8, 2009

Every time I write 2009, I just cannot believe that another year has passed.
This is what I finished over the Christmas Vacation time. Actually there is another doggie quilt but it is not bound yet and my niece Anna wants it.

I have to hurry and run to work, But I just wanted to publish these for everyone to look at.
I think it is so cold here in San Diego, it is about 65 degrees out side. However when I think of what it is back east in some parts and there are people who do not have any heat there I again realize that I am totally blessed.
Have a great day.

Happy New Year. Jan 7, 2009

Hello,
I cannot believe it has been so long since I had sat down at the computer. Christmas and new year has come and gone. I really had a very nice Christmas. New Years eve night I stayed home. My cats do not like the noise from the guns people shot in the air around here and get very frighten.
The police were going around telling everyone not to shot guns on New Years night, BUT, ....

I was off work for two weeks so I did a lot of quilting. My niece Anna came over, she was here from
UC Santa Cruz and guess what, she went into the quilting room and picked out 2 quilts she just had to have. They had to be finished being bound, but after that they are off to Anna.

Road to California Quilt show is coming up soon, But I think I will be here. I still have 2 vaciences in my apartments and just cannot go running out of town until they get rented.
It is very hard to be a tuff landlord. Times are hard and people are loosing their jobs and then you have to go ask a father with 2 children to move out because they had no job, no money to pay the rent.... and no place to go. But its a business, my business income and so not a free home to stay....
Another tenant has her son, her mother 2 kids and a boyfriend and a dog living in an apartment that was rented to her and one child. I have to go over there today and talk to her and she also has no place to send these people. I know this is far from quilting, but what do I do but let it out.
Well. I am going to go get dressed and go to work, until this afternoon and then go see all the people and break the news....
Have a great quilting day
Nancy
