Wednesday December 8, 2010

I believe that I have told you, I was going to a Junior College in Rancho San Diego, called Cuyamaca College. I have been enrolled in the Paralegal program and just turned in the last paper. What a relief to be done. The only other thing to do is to go turn in some borrowed equipment.
To celebrate, yesterday I went a friend to a quilt shop in Chula Vista, Ca, that is south of San Diego. It was fun to just look around and enjoy other quilters works. I think I am ready to just go sit in my quilting room and sew for a week with no interruptions.
The other thing I am going to do today is go to the gym and swim the the pool.
I have been so stressed everyday thinking about what is due next for school.
There are so many quilt patterns floating around in my head that need to be sewn it is hard to think of what to do first. Maybe I should just spend a week finishing UFO'S, ( unfinished objects)

Everyone else in the neighbor hood already has their Christmas decorations up on their homes, but not me, I like to be the last one.
I have to make a run to the metal recyclers to take some metal stuff from the apartments.
Spray the back yard with weed killer, around the base of the house. Clean up the upper driveway, and throw a bunch of junk into the dumpster. I would like to do a big clean of the quilt room, and donate some stuff that I will never used to the goodwill, or salvation army..
and do not forget to clean out the back of the vehicles. Well I guess that is the end of that semester break. I forgot about Christmas cards, they all have to go out.

I would like to go put a Christmas reef on my mother grave, and one on my favorite cats grave, Goldmine. There is only 17 days until christmas, so I better put myself into high gear or overdrive and go for it.
Have a wonderful Christmas, and a happy new year.

November 5th, 2010

Hi,
I cannot believe, that is how I started the last blog. It is really November 5th and I have not sewn a stitch since school started in august. Not repaired one piece of clothing, not put together one block. My sewing room look like a time warp. Nothing has moved since I started school.
I did go on a outing to Los Angelos area with a friend and toured some quilt shops, nothing very wonderful, We have Rosie's Quilt Shop here, and nothing bets that shop. I have been thinking about working in the sewing room, but so far, not a thing has happened.

I have not bought one piece of fabric, no one fat quarter or anything for that matter.

My life consists of working on rentals and going to school and studying.
No new great love in my life, no new great anything exciting. just living one day at a time, and waiting to see what today will bring.

I read other blog everyday and they seem to be in the same place that I am.
This week end I plan to spend in SDSU's library, then Monday to class.
Have a wonderful week end.

Monday October 18, 2010

I cannot believe it is already October.. what happened to the year. I know for me it has gone by very fast. Now I am back waiting for the holidays to be over.
I started going to paralegal school at Cuyamaca College, in Rancho San Diego. the classes are hard, but my mind does get worked and that is good.
Freddie and ginger have really bonded, two abused dogs that were so afraid of their own skins, now are so happy and fat. Most comfortable.
Last night we went for a walk with the neighbor who has two rescue dogs also, and Freddie just loves their small dog, they are pals.

Mr. Man and I have moved on and I know he was a Hussler, con man, and a swindler, I admit I did enjoy his company, but sometimes you can not see the forest for the tress, that was a great example. He was smooth, but only wanted to make it easier for himself.... beware of men bearing gifts. All those quotes prove true.

I know many times I have complained about people who use their quilting blog to grip,......
Bill, that attorney, moved to Phoenix for the winter, thank heavens he is out of the area, a relief.
He left for phoenix under a cloud.

All of my sewing machines have broke, or are not working so there is no sewing taking place, beside with school who has time, and I still have to take care of the apartments, so there you have it.
It is only 61 degrees in San Diego, so it is cold outside. No one feels like being outdoors including the cats.
Well it is 9:30 here in Spring Valley, never found any springs, but I here that they are here somewhere. There also sued to be a lots of chicken ranches out here, and flower farms, but all that is also gone to housing. The coyotes, skunks, and raccoons are still here however, so everything has not moved on.
Well have a great day, blog if you have time.

Friday Sept 24, 2010

Hi,
I do not have a working sewing machine now, I did have 3, but all of them have broke, it is those computer boards. Well I do have a singer feather weight, but I do not like the way it sews. So today I am off to the many sewing machine stores in the San Diego area to see what is available in used sewing machines.
Since I parted ways with my long time live in man, it has been a continual job to clean out stuff he left behind. It has been over 2 1/2 years, but yesterday I finally sold the 1952 Classic Chevy Truck.
It is so nice to look out my kitchen window and see the drive way empty. What a nice view.
I sold it and then had a tow truck come take it to the new owner's home.

I have been going to paralegal school at Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego. It is alot of studying, and often leaves me in the library for long hours, but I really enjoy it.

I do not have any pictures to post, but maybe soon.
I have to go get ready to go to school.

Have a great day.

School started

august 31 Monday, I started back to Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego. I really enjoy going to school, it is alot of hard work and many hours of studying are involved. It is stretching my brain which is always great. Learning new things is fun especially knowing that in a short time I will be able to be employed in a new field. With the economy being what it is I have had to look in different directions as many Americans have had to do. I constantly send out Resumes, but do not hear back. It is very hard on the soul.
Quilting is always my first love, but I had had to put that aside for now. I walk into the quilting room but then I am reminded that there is no time for that now.
The animals are all doing fine, and enjoy the endless hours of my being at home with them, they never fail to come sit right on top of the computer when I am working away.
I have not got any pictures to post, as nothing is new, unless you would like to see a picture of the text book.
Have a wonderful holiday, It marks the end of summer.

Friday aug 16th

Hi,
It has been over a week since I came back to the blog. When I first started blogging it seemed like I blogged everyday. I have been so busy these days that If I can get here once a week I feel accomplished.
I have 4 sewing machines and they are all in need of repair. I really need to go find a new one, but I do not want to pay 2-4 thousand dollars for a half good sewing machine. I have been looking for a used one, but everyone wants so much for everything now.
My 2 best pals are Tacocat and Freddie. However, Freddie likes my neighbor better then like me his owner. Freddie has more toys than any child should ever have. And he plays with all his toys... They are in a basket, and he picks out a toy, moves it around the house and then goes and get another, by the end of the day, there are toys every where.
Well I have to go to swim class. Have a great blessed day. Tomorrow is Saturday and The Country lot if having their quit show. If you are around San Diego it is always great

Monday August 16, 2010

The week end flew, just flew by as usual. I was taking care of 2 dogs for a friend of mine who went camping. Neither one of the dogs have been fixed, and my two have been so there was a lot of noise all week end, Last night after they left, all my animals were passed out realizing as they did not have to hide any more from the bad dogs. They were friendly to me but not to anyone else.
My friend sent me a picture I wanted to share, A Black Fawn. I have never seen one, but feel it is a beautiful thing and very rare.
There is still nothing on the quilt wall, but I did get some studying done. I am taking a paralegal class at Cuyamaca College, and so alot of my time now goes into studying.
My two Chihuahua dogs sit and a chair in the office while I study and keep me company. Those two dogs sleep like rocks last night, no big dogs chasing them.
Today one thing I really have to do is trim the Lime tree, I have been trying to get it done for a number of weeks, today is the day.

I always start off the day with a ton of plans and them things happen. I am also going to try to put up a bird feeding stand, if only you could see my list.
Well I have better get moving on down the list.
Have a great day.

Monday August 9, 2010

The bad Monday is here, Yesterday I intended to get into the sewing room and work, However all m y friends dumped so many chores onto me, all I did was to go help everyone who needed this or that.
I did manage to obtain another large canning pot for the jars however, someone I knew was get ready to ship it to the Goodwill. So with two(2) canning pots I can get 10 jars ready at once and that will be so much faster.
Today for sure it is sewing room, no BS.
Sometimes these little notes are just for a reminder that life is fast and short, so I better get it on.
Have a great day.

August 8, 2010 Sunday

All week I have been saying that I really want to get into the sewing room. All week there has been one distraction or another. I have been managing apartment and rentals for many years now. People it seems who rent apartments, often seem to think that the landlord is there is fix every little thing for them. The other big thing, is" I only can pay half the rent, but on the fifteen of the month I'll pay the rest." I am not a loan officer..... If there is ever a day that the economy turns it self around the apartments go.
Anyway today Sunday was going to be my day to stay home and sew and do what ever I want, until.........Now I will be busy all day again.
I try to forgive people who make mistakes, However, there are many people who have not learned to forgive. Those type of people always believe that everything they do is right... if another person makes a mistake against them that person should never be forgiven. To those I say Grow up....!

If I ever finish my upo's (Unfinished objects) I have so many projects that I think I would like to do, so many great ideas. One thing that I would like to do is sell off all my stash of material. I have such a large stash and is never seems to go down, no matter how fast I sew.

It is Sunday at 8:30 am so I have better get dressed for Skyline church.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

July 25, 2010 Sunday

Gosh, time fly's It has been more than a month since I have stopped by. First I have a bunch of problems with my rentals. 2 people moved. The first I knew about, but did not expect such a major mess. The second Texted me on his cell phone at 1:30 am in the morning that he had moved out and left all kinds of stuff for me to dispose of. That second person have lived in my house for 2 years. After almost a month of working hard I got everything clean up and re-rented again, however, I was forced to ask another tenant to move on, bad behavior by her family members have brought our relationship to a close.
The quilt is one from Darlene's sop on closing day.

I have not spent one day in the sewing room, one day in the garden, or cleaning my house, as all my attention goes to fixing up apartments.
I occasionally run into Mr. Man, we never talk to each other or even smile.
Delight yourself in the lord for he shall bring you desires of your heart. Do not let evil doers bring you down

Today I want to just do things around my house and finally relax for a time. If that is possible.
I was thinking a large salad with chicken for dinner.
Maybe I'll go swimming at Kroc Center around noon.
I went to long beach with Barbara and had a really great time, I was extremely disappointed with the quilts and the vendors, there were so few from last year. And the vendors that were there had the same old things.
Well it is getting late and I have to run.
Have a great Sunday.

June 21st. Off to Hand Therapy

Hi,
I have been sewing away, my hand is working much better, the pointer finger is still very swollen, but every day it gets better. The quilters that can blog everyday really amazes me, if I can get back once a week I think that I am doing great.
The money wrench quilt is coming a long. I always take a picture of the quilt and then I can see my mistakes. In the upper left hand corner... Oops I have to go back and fix that. I made this quilt twice as large as it is supposed to be made, but now it fits a large twin bed. One day I'll buy my own quilting machine, A Gammill Statler, and quilt my own quilts, well that is my dream, but for now I just make quilts and then stack them up.

I planted some hollyhock seeds. I live on Hollyhock Road, so everyone should have Hollyhocks planted. I think so. I have cats, 4 cats really and when they see fresh soft dirt in a large pot they think it is for them to play with and dig in. I had to put some chicken wire over it, but Lucy, she is the calico cat, just ripped off the chicken wire cover. Now The dirt is all moved around, I hope the seeds are still planted.

I sold the yellow 1952 Chevy Truck, The man is coming to get it this month. I cannot wait to have another part of my past gone. Moving forward has been slow, but it is coming along.
I just keep putting one foot in front of another and hope that I am make the right decision.

Well I have to go fix that mistake in the monkey wrench quilt and then off to hand therapy.
Have a great day

June 19th Saturday

Hi,
I think today is fathers day, My father passed a few years back so I am going to do things around the house again and that will take care of today. A week ago I have my left hand operated on again. It has been five days I still have the bandage on, but it is going very well. The very best part is that I can now bend my fingers, which I could not do before the operation.

One of my Girl friends granddaughter is getting married July 10, I have been under so much stress, finding a present she would like, I finally got her something I use around my home and really love, A great set of Kitchen knifes. I found the dress and the shoes.... I feel like I won the lottery, everything is taken care of and I am ready to go to this fancy wedding.
I also sold the 1952 Chevy Pick up truck. It has been in my yard so over a year while it has been getting fixed. Finally it is sold. Soon to be gone.
I almost finished with the disappearing nine patch quilt, The monkey wrench quilt is coming along,
Things are looking up. I am out of school for the summer, I free until august 17Th... So I have lots of free time.
Today, I am going to go to the attorneys office and take care of some paper work, then come home and sew...
Have a wonderful week end.

Disappearing 9 patch cat quilt

I just do not know what happens to the week ends!. I always start off with so many plans and the week end days just go. I get so busy before I know what happens it is gone. Take this week end for example.
My girl friends cat of 17 years passed on and she was sad, as we all would be, so since I own every cat fabric every made know to man, not kidding, I told her lets do a Disappearing 9 Patch Quilt. We both can do one and I'll supply the fabric. I cut the squares 6 1/2" and cut 75 squares for each of us,
With a few other things to do on Saturday, it was 9:00 pm and that was the end of that day. Sunday started with attending Skyline Church in Rancho San Diego, got home at noon, saw a friend, starting working on the nine patch quilt, had to go get one fabric at Roses Quit Shop,
for the center square, turned into 5 fabrics I would not resist, came home cut the center block for the disappearing 9 patch, started sewing them together, had to make dinner, take the dogs for a walk.... oops, it is 10:00 pm again, Still have to take a bath.....etc.
OK now it is Monday, the gardener and his crew are coming over to work, and will be all day...
I have to go to school to get my law book for the upcoming class... ..$300.00...
I know what happens to the days, but ..... Does anyone have a day slow downer?
Have a great day.

June 4, 2010

I just do not know where the time disappears to. I have been so busy doing things around the house time just passes by. Yesterday I went over to a friends house and filled up my truck with yard clippings and before we knew it the back of the truck was loaded to the brim, Today I am off to the dump to unload greenery. That is my truck loaded to the brim.

I called my hand doctor because my hand is hurting and yelled at the person who answered the phone. I just went over the edge. Finally the doctor called back and said he reordered some meds.... What a DAY.
I have two quilt cut out and ready to finish on the cutting table... One is partly embroidered , but needs a boarder on it. I have 4 other quilt plans in a book....

I always say what goes around comes around so I am off to the dump.
I am going to try to sew when I get back today!.

May 22, 2010

Time has been flying by. My birthday came and went. Diane took me to lunch at the favorite place. Chinese off course. I have been on another trip to get junk out of my house. I have totally taken apart the living room and re arranged it again. The guest bedroom has been changed around again. And of course I started another scrap quilt. Summer is here with all the flowers and plants coming up.
The scrap quilt is a class I will be taking at Rosie's Quilt shop. It is made with strips and looks to be a real bunch of fun.
OH, yes I also started going back and taking paralegal class's at Cuyamaca college and I am working on bankruptcy's for an attorney. The classes are hard, as there is so much to remember all the time. But the end result will be great as I can do alot of the work at home. I have not been in school in 1983 When I graduated from SDSU. Time has flown by.
I have to go to the quilt store today and visit Barbara at the quilted rose.
Well the dogs are wanting to go to the dog park. so off I go. Have a great week end sewing.

Friday April 23, 2010

Friday, Ya. One more day until I get to go to Great News for the canning class. My Friend Gretchen is going to go with me.
I am still looking for that needle in a hay stack. Still lots of hay but no needles. I love it when there is Chemistry, but so far none of that either.
Today if it warms up at all I am going to go outside and dig in the garden. I called my helper but he does not seem to want to work. So, I guess it will be just me.
Time does fly by so fast. I just do not have time to blog every day.

I looked outside and it is cold... cold... cold, So I guess I'll be inside for awhile.
Better get to work on the chores.
Have a great blessed day.

Sunday April 11, 2010

Sunday, I am finally recovering from my return trip to San Diego, after spending 7 days in Mesa, Arizona. Today the barometric pressure is very low and that causes my head to hurt. People to have a history of migraine headaches really feel it. I am going to get dressed and go over to Bill house in Mission Hills and clean out the mildew from the refrigerator. While we were in Mesa it stopped working and now it has to be cleaned before sears with take it away when the new one is delivered.
I got a nice email from a friend of mine who also has rentals, I am hoping that one day this week we can go to the movies. Both him and I like to go to the movies so that should be fun.
We have been caring on a email relationship and finally have decided to meet. Either it will be great or it will be not so great.
Well Business calls and I must be getting along.

April 8th Thursday

I have been in Mesa Arizona visiting a friend over the Easter Holiday. I arrived on April 1st and returned to San Diego on April 7th. We went to about every Desert Botanical Garden in the area.
Not to mention every garden shop in the area. The plant in the Phoenix area are very different than the ones you see in the San Diego Area.
We did not feel the earth quake as we were in the back yard and there were friends their.
We are all sitting around having a great time and talking , the wind was blowing and no one noticed. It was not until someone called me from San Diego that we found out there was a quake.

The dogs had a great time, they played and ran and just did everything dogs do. I did not sew a single stitch while I was there. My friends keep me going the entire time.
Returning home I have to go back to reality and start working on everything. The car needs to be washed. It is very dusty in the desert area. The cloths needs to be washed and put away. The yard needs to be watered. It will take me days to get caught up.
I also have to go check on a refrigerator that I was told is not getting cold. The house has not been vacuumed in 10 days, I was gone but the cats were at home. I have 2 doctors appointments to take care off. It is nice to leave town, but then one comes home.
It is getting late I have to get a move one. Hopefully this week I'll have a chance to sit and sew.
Have a great day.

Thursday March 18, 2010

The birds are in the yards singing, the sun has broke through and life is good. I have been spring cleaning, yesterday I worked for 5 hours in the washing room and put in a new chrome storage rake. I got most of the room reorganized, took some stuff to amvets and was totally exhausted.
I have not had a minute to sew all week. I just got this spring cleaning bug under my skin. Too much stuff in my house I never use. I think watching the Hoarders show on TV got to me. I am no way anywhere near to that, but my home could be alot nicer.
I got really inspired when I saw (scroll down).Bonnie Hunter's orphan block quilt I want to take all my blocks and do something like that also. You can believe me when I say I have more orphan blocks that I know what to do with. I had finished 10 quilts, well finished the tops and have been stacking them up so get quilted. If I had a house cleaner and a gardener and a pet sitter, a cook, and a personal assistant, I could just stay in the house all day and sew and sew. But I have to continue on with life's joys. The dogs want to go out and I have to get dressed. So I say to you, look at life as the glass is half full. Have a great day.

Friday March 12, 2010 Lifes getting back to normal

Today is Friday. My life is getting back to normal. It has taken a lots of months to not feel so bad about Mr. Man. I always have to remind myself that if he needed something so much he had to steal, then let him have it and forget about it. "What goes around comes around"!. No more men in my life!. I have to be a lot more careful with these charmers. These Husserl's.....etc

I have been going out with my friends to dinner and doing lots of fun activity things also. I registered for a bridge class, met some nice ladies in the class. Today i have a job interview for a part time job. It is 21 miles away from where I live, but as my friend tells me, it is hard to hire a senior person who can only work part time. Also I have a income restriction from Social Security. They will only let me earn so much cash before they take away in SS benefits. I want to work part time to put a little normalness in my life and would like a little extra cash. It would be nice to find a job closer to home, but it has not worked out that way.
I have been sewing alot, and almost finished another 2 quilt tops. Yes I am still on the UFO Train.
I also got my finger nails fixed and my hands look and feel alot better.
Again I tell you "True friends are the ones who stay by your side when you are up or are down."
I have to run and get dressed. Have a great day.

Monday Rainy Day March 8, 2010

Hi,
It is really pouring rain here and my animals again are hesitant to venture out into the world. I have not been a good blogger. I get busy with things and then let blogging go by the wayside.
I did however go on the San Diego quilt run on Saturday and spent way too much cash on material. Schick quilt buying quilt fabric when you do not need any needs to be started to us fabric addictions.

But Rosie's Quilt Shop in San Diego always has an employee stash sale during the San Diego Quilt run.
We here in San Diego Ca. are really blessed to have such a great quilt shop. She has about 10,000 bolts of fabric and the best employees working there. I have been trying to sew my self out of my quilt room for years and I think I am finally getting somewhere. Actually this is the first time in a very long time I have bought any large amount of fabric.
My new dell computer has been back in the shop again. I spend over an hour talking to dell on the phone this morning telling them I wanted to return the computer, but since it is paid for I will not get any of my money back. I will never buy another dell computer. I have to admit I used to like my old dell maybe it is the new operating s system, but I am over dell now!.

Compact computer is another bad one. I have a friend Mike at Central Sewing in El Cajon Ca.
He told me the next time I get ready to buy a computer to let him know and he will help me. Well it is 9:20 am here in San Diego Ca. and I still have not got dressed so I have to run along.

Saturday Feb 27, 2010

I do not blog everyday like some of the quilting blogs. I have things that should get done everyday, like going to the apartment building and cleaning up trash around the building.
Everyday I do that and the next day it is back, like magic. I know I cannot complain, I am blessed to have the little extra income. It is work but I just cannot get why the people living there cannot pick up after their kids. Well that is the way it goes.
All week I have been crocheting a neck scarf to send to my niece in New York. I finished it last night and started another one in blue for her. No quilting last week. Now my friend just bought some curtains for his bedroom and wants me to come over and help him hem them. He was going to take them to the cleaners and pay them but does not feel he needs to do anything for me. Well he has been a friend for many years. but...........!

Today is the San Diego People of Color Quilt Show at 5145 Market sheet at the library there. Two of my girl friends have
quilts in the show, so even if it is raining I have to go show support. Besides I donated a large bag of fabric for them to sale and make some $$ dollars for their guild.
It actually helped me, because I got to give away some fabric I probably will not use and they get to make a little money for their guild.

I put these antique blocks together last week but after I finished it I did not like that way it looks so today after I get home from the show, I am going to take them apart and do it different.

The dogs and cats in the house at looking out the door thinking what the heck is going on.
Why can we not go outside... oh.......it is raining. We are not going out in the wet, make it stop.

4 months and I still have not heard from Mr.Man, it really upset me, as I made him a great deal, paid him and he was suppost to come help me do something and then when I said OK come help me, he vaporized. That's men, or at least this one who tells me he is a good christian and reads the bible. Where in the bible does it say. "make a deal, get paid and then do not do what you said you would do...?" This is just how I feel now. So there it is.

I keep telling my self god has a plan for my life, so just keep trying over and over again.
Have a great week end.

Saturday It is Raining

My wool scarf.
It is Saturday, Gretchen is coming over and we are going to sew and paint. It is always so quiet when it rains, not many people are out moving around. I took the dogs for a walk this morning, when there was a break, they were having a great time, but all off a sudden it started pouring, I ran home, but was drenched.
I picked up my niece from the airport last night, she came in from New York. She has grown into a beautiful lady. The first thing she wanted to do when she arrived in Southern California from New York City was go to A real Mexican restaurant. In New York the Mexican Restaurants are do not know how to make food like they do here in San Diego.

Saturday afternoon I worked more on my crocheting. I have been making a wool scarf.
I also found this great yarn at the thrift store, When I was at Jo Ann's I price it and it was much less expensive at the thrift store, so today I am going to go back and see if it is still there.
If I can not sleep I get up and crochet for a while and them I can go back to sleep.

Today I am suppost to go to dog park with the dogs. I am meeting my friend Dy there, she has a pug and I have little chi's.
I also tried to do a different layout on a quilt but it did not come out well, so today, this afternoon I am going to take it apart and start over. What a drag.
Well have a great day.

Sunday January 31, 2010

Made alive, what happened to January....? I know it was just Christmas yesterday. Time flys by.
My little right finger is healing up nicely after being cut open by the rotary cutter. That really hurt.
I have been sewing, but only things already cut and waiting to be sewn. If I need any additional parts. I have to cut with scissors, No rotary cutters for me. Well not for awhile.
I refilled all the bird feeder, the rain has stopped for a time. The birds are all sworming the feeders, That is one of the pleasures of bird feeders. Seeing all the great birds enjoy the food.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

When if ever dell delivers my new computer I will have so many quilts to post on the Internet of what I have been doing everyone will think that is all I do, however, I have not been able to post a picture of one of my quilts for months.
Today after it warms up outside I get to go plant or rather re-plant the plum tree, my garden planted it but did a very bad job. And I paid him to do it.
Well it is almost 9:00 and I have to get running.
Go spend the day with someone you love and have fun.

Rotary cutter disaster at home

Tuesday night Jan 26, 2010 I was working away late at night and watching television, Not to be done while rotary cutter is in hand and .........your right cut right over my little finer into the nail bed. Can you believe how much blood there was.... alot.
Today is Thursday and I can finally look at it. I have been soaking it in warm water for two days and the pain has gone away a bit, but it still hurts.
Dell computer has yet again told me my computer is delayed. I called and they say apart is on the way to India from Japan, by sail boat... or something. Or maybe pony express, that will take a year.
Since it is paid for and Dell will not refund the money ... It has been almost 3 months since I order that computer, it was the day after Thanksgiving.....
I have been quilting but only sewing, no rotary cutter for me.... I have been sewing things already cut out, that just needs to be put together.

Mr. man has not talked to me for 3 months now.. since I called his Baby sister Consuelo..... the woman who started out as baby sister and I am sure has got into his................you fill in the blanks.
As I had said in the past it is hard loosing someone who you think is you friend especially when he works in the neighborhood where I live and we run into each other often.
Well who wrote "Braking up is hard to do" knew what they were singing.
I can only pray for him and hope that after he finished scamming me and hustling me he is happy with his life.
Yesterday I was at GTM at discount store for Costco and ran into a lady who was getting stuff for canning and asked her if she wanted to give me lessons to can. Now I think I have told you in the past my friend from Montana, Patty cans everything. I swear Patties ear must of been burning, because later that night she called me.
San Diego is really cold, there is snow up in the mountains and the cold air is blowing down to San Diego. It has not reached 70 degrees here in weeks. That is cold for San Diego.
Well got to get going, I am off to Rosies Quilt shop today, and then on to The Quilted Rose.
Have a great day, Sorry to dump so much on you in one day.

January 20, 2010 Wednesday

It has been pouring raining, raining and now it is going to rain more. I can only keep one room warn at a time, so I have been keeping the sewing room warmed up. Hopefully by the week end it will be warmer. Coldness is good in a way, it keeps you in the house and makes you bind all those quilts that you have no done before.
My handyman is coming over to help me dig a trench behind the garage to get the rain a water to drain away.
Yesterday I made a large pot of chicken soup, the dogs, and I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of when my mother was here and she always made great soups.
Since my return from Road to California I have had a head full of ideas, but as always I have to do maintenance on the apartments and houses and that takes away from sewing.
Well I have to get started on the things that I have to do. Hopefully this afternoon I will be able to sew some more.
Also yet again my computer has been delayed, it was supposed to arrive before Christmas, Now dell is saying maybe in February.

January 7, Thursday 2010

Thursday, 2 more days till the week end. Ya. Time goes by so fast, I can not believe it.
Yesterday I was watching a news cast and realized that 5 years has flown by since Toni Gynn retired from the Padres baseball team and it seamed just like just yesterday.
My tenants on Chalmers street need a new washing machine for their house, the old one which is only 2 years old broke. So there goes another (5) Five hundred dollars.
I finally got to go back to the ear doctor who said another month before I can get back into the pool and start swimming again.
However after the doctor appointment I went to lunch with Marilyn my friend across the street and then to the animal shelter and ended having a great day.
On the way to the animal shelter I drove down grove street, which has always been my short cut and Marilyn noticed that it was the street where my man works. Sorry that is the short cut way to the animal shelter.
I guess no more short cut, I may run into that bad person and that would not be good.
Today my plan was to get up and go work with the cats, but now I have to go look at washing machines and get a new one for the rental.
Plans can never be what you expected, that is why old Chinese saying "Flow with it".
Well have a great day try to accomplish something.
